Stephen Alim Melon is a Solicitor and Barrister of the Supreme Court of Ghana. Stephen works with Melon and Co Law Firm a private Law Firm in Accra and the United Nations (UN). He specializes in corporate and commercial practice, as well as litigation. At Melon and Co Law Firm Stephen is involved in litigation relating to Real Estate, Credit Management, Banking, and Sale of Goods, Land and Intellectual Property Law. Prior to joining Melon and Co Law Firm, Stephen worked with Hesse & Hesse Law Firm.

At Hesse & Hesse Stephen advised Intel Corporation and Nokia Corporation. Stephen also worked on Telecommunication cases and has acquired immense knowledge in the Telecommunication sector as a result of his constant dealings with the Telecommunication companies and the National Communications Authority. Further to these, Stephen advised on maritime law and wrote several legal opinions on Banking law, Privacy and confidentially and Data Protection law as well as immigration law. It is worthy of mention that Stephen advised on Vodafone Plc after Vodafone acquired Seventy per cent (60%) shares in Ghana Telecom. At Hesse & Hesse Stephen was in charge of Intellectual Property Law and related matters. Stephen has been involved in the drafting of several commercial agreements such as Shareholders Agreement, Lease Agreement, Mortgage, Company Regulations among others.

Stephen was part of the Ghana School of Law team that won the 1st National Moot Court Competition held at the Supreme Court of Ghana. Stephen was also a member of the team that represented the Ghana School of Law at the 2007 Shearman and Sterling LLP Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition held in Washington DC and the 2007 Commonwealth Lawyers Conference Moot Court Competition held in Nairobi, Kenya.

Stephen Alim Melon is a member of the Ghana Bar Association and the Commonwealth Lawyers Association.
